We woke up and had lunch again with Ariel’s family. This time it was peking duck! My favourite! Lots and lots of pictures for this post. 🙂 (In case you missed it, check out Tainan Part 2 here.)
CHERRY BLOSSOMS
Our first stop of the day was Zhongshan Park. They had really pretty cherry blossoms. It’s such a pretty flower. I’m glad we got to see it in Taiwan.
ANPING TREEHOUSE
Anping Treehouse is one of Tainan’s main tourist attractions. It reminded me a lot of the ruins in Cambodia and where Tomb Raider was filmed. These trees are kind of scary the way they can grow over structures. There was also a small cafe where we each enjoyed an ice cream cone.
ANPING FORT
Very close to Anping Treehouse is Anping Fort. We walked through an old street on the way there. This is the first time I tried one of those curled potatoes on a stick. It’s so good! You can choose from a lot of powders to place on it as well. I definitely recommend going to this old street and eating everything there.

PIZZA
On the way back, we stopped and ordered one of those brick oven pizzas.

FORT PORTIVINTIA
This fort is BEAUTIFUL and one of my favorites. The structure was very ornate and everything was pretty, from the garden to the windows and doors.
